Canadian Cheese Fries

Canadian Cheese Fries are a delicious twist on classic loaded fries, featuring crispy potato fries topped with gooey Canadian cheddar cheese, savory bacon bits, fresh green onions, and a creamy dollop of sour cream. Perfect for a cozy night in or as a crowd-pleasing appetizer

Ingredients:

  • 4 large potatoes, scrubbed and cut into fries
  • 2 cups shredded Canadian cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup cooked bacon bits
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or oil for frying

Instructions:

Warm the oven up to 450F 230C

Spread out the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet

Add salt and pepper to the fries after spraying them with cooking spray or tossing them with a little oil

Fries should be baked in a hot oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy

Put the fries back in the oven and then top them with shredded Canadian cheddar cheese

Put the fries back in the oven and melt the cheese for another 3 to 5 minutes, or until they are bubbly and melted

Add chopped green onions and cooked bacon bits to the fries after taking them out of the oven

Put some sour cream on the side and serve the food hot
