Ingredients:
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy
Add the egg and vanilla extract to the peanut butter mixture and mix well
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart
Use a fork to create a crisscross pattern on each cookie, flattening them slightly
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden
Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
Once cooled, enjoy these classic peanut butter cookies with a glass of milk or your favorite beverage
