Potatoes Anna is a classic French dish made with thinly sliced potatoes layered with butter and garlic, then baked until golden and crispy. Its a simple yet elegant side dish that pairs well with any main course.

Ingredients:

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375F 190C

Grease a baking dish with butter or non-stick spray

Arrange a layer of potato slices in the bottom of the baking dish, overlapping slightly

Brush the potatoes with melted butter and sprinkle with minced garlic, salt, and pepper

Repeat layering potatoes, butter, garlic, salt, and pepper until all potatoes are used, finishing with a layer of butter on top

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy on the edges

Once cooked, let it cool for a few minutes before slicing into portions

Garnish with chopped parsley if desired before serving
