Ingredients:

  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up

Prepare a donut pan by greasing it

Pumpkin puree, brown sugar, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract should all be mixed together well in a bowl

Mix the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a different bowl using a whisk

Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones while stirring them together

Add the chocolate chips and mix them in

Fill up each donut hole about two thirds of the way to the top with batter after the pan is ready

If you stick a toothpick into a donut, it should come out clean after 12 to 15 minutes

Cool the donuts for 5 minutes in the pan, then move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down

Powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract should all be mixed together in a small saucepan over low heat

Mix it up until its smooth and shiny

Once the donuts are cool, dip the tops of them into the chocolate icing and let the extra drip off

To set the glaze, put the donuts back on the wire rack

Serve your Baked Pumpkin Donuts with Chocolate Icing and enjoy them
